WHERE?
Water Safety First Headquarters is located in Surrey (Cloverdale, British Columbia, Canada.
WHEN?
We offer instruction year-round. Our pool is heated to a comfortable temperature for learners. 86-96 degrees F is average, depending on the outside temperatures.
WHY?
Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional and preventable death for people between the ages of 1-4. Canada has more lakes than any other country in the world (879,800 to be exact!). We live on the coast, where the ocean, lakes, and rivers are easily accessible. Knowing how to prepare for being in, on and around open water is an invaluable life skill that everyone should have access to. Learning how to swim has many health benefits as well including improved physical literacy, reduced stress levels, improved sleep, increased flexibility, improved muscle strength and tone, and builds confidence.
