WHY?

Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional and preventable death for people between the ages of 1-4. Canada has more lakes than any other country in the world (879,800 to be exact!). We live on the coast, where the ocean, lakes, and rivers are easily accessible. Knowing how to prepare for being in, on and around open water is an invaluable life skill that everyone should have access to. Learning how to swim has many health benefits as well including improved physical literacy, reduced stress levels, improved sleep, increased flexibility, improved muscle strength and tone, and builds confidence.

  • "Jessica is an outstanding swim instructor. She helped a group of our families last summer teach our kids swim and water safety and was able to work with many varying degrees of skills. Each child that she coached progressed along their own timeline greatly throughout the summer meeting individual goals. Additionally, what truly sets Jessica apart in terms of swim instruction is her water safety focus for the kids. They learned not only how to identify someone in danger in the water but learned how to safelv and efficiently help them. I highly recommend Jessica for swim instruction. stroke work and water safety to kids of all ages. We will be using her again and again to instruct our own children"

  • "Jessica taught my boys last summer, they were 4 and 2. She was amazing with both of them, keeping them engaged and making it fun. They loved going to their lessons. I always felt like they were safe and in good hands when they were with her. My oldest went from being afraid to put his face in the water to doing unassisted back floats."

    —Dani (Surrey)

  • “Jessica taught our group of three children at our private backyard pool, and was incredibly patient and professional with everyone she interacted with. She focused not only on the mechanics of swimming, but ensured she integrated water safety skills each lesson as well! She even made the kids wear their clothes in the water one day and showed them how to perform a self rescue using their pants as an inflatable! We highly recommend Jessica if you’re looking for a seasoned instructor!”

  • "I have been wanting to take lessons for years and could not find anyone local- I wanted to perfect my front crawl and felt very nervous at my age of ?? I have a little fear of "something" but Jessica encouraged me and led me through some amazing techniques to start learning better breathing etc. I would highly recommend her and the lovely space! Swimming in her small space tethered was a fabulous experience. Book a lesson I promise you will not be disappointed!"
